BoostPrep HESI A2 Features
We are now going to take a look into the course. We reviewed different portions of the course and included screenshots for you to look at.
User Interface
The user interface within BoostPrep is very good. It has a clean look and feel to it and is easy to navigate around. They provide you with a dashboard that serves as your “homebase”. You can navigate to everywhere you need to go from the dashboard.
The course is split up into various sections. Some of those sections include:
- How to Use the Course
- Diagnostic Exams
- Full-Length Exams
- A&P
- Math
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Reading
- Vocab
- Grammar
- Study Schedules
We like how the different sections are separated. This makes it very easy to navigate around and find what you are looking for.
There is also a sidebar on all pages that helps you easily navigate around. We really liked this feature.

Learning Content
There are a couple of different ways to learn in the BoostPrep platform. Some of those ways include:
- Lessons / Topics
- Video Lessons
- Flashcards
- Knowledge Check Exams
The lessons and topics are very clear and concise. We found that most of the information was easy to understand and did not feel overwhelmed with information. There is an important terms box at the top of each lesson and a key takeaways box at the bottom of each lesson.

There are also video lessons in this course (math only). We like the video lessons because they provide a way for visual learners to grasp key concepts.
The video lessons are typically less than 10 minutes long and provide a summary of the lesson. They are a great way to hammer home important concepts.

One cool thing BoostPrep does is they include knowledge check exams within the learning content.
These exams are placed after lessons and topics and include quick 10-20 question exams. The questions test your knowledge on topics you just learned. You will see an answer explanation immediately following each question.

Lastly, you can learn via the flashcards. These flashcards are split up by subjects on the HESI exam. For example, if you wanted to just focus on A&P, you could review just the A&P flashcards.
In addition, if you want to study the flashcards quicker, you can review all of the terms in the set at once. They provide all of the terms in a quick list below the flashcards. This saves you time since you do not have to flip through all the cards in the set.

Diagnostic Exams
The diagnostic exams offered are one of the most useful features in the course. There is a diagnostic exam for each HESI section. You can take all of the necessary diagnostic exams and see how you do.
The diagnostic exams allow you to narrow down trouble areas and determine where you should begin your studies. They are very helpful.

Full-Length Exams
One of the core features of this course is the full-length exams. There are 40 total full-length exams (5 per subject). Each exam has the same number of questions and time limits as the actual exam.
The questions are very realistic and felt like the actual HESIA2 exam. The answer explanations were great and very detailed. The math ones were especially detailed, walking you through the explanation step by step.

Study Schedules
The study schedules are schedules you can follow when trying to figure out how to best study for your exam. The schedules are built specifically for this course and tell you exactly what to do.
There are 3 study schedules you can choose from:
- Cram
- 4-Week
- 10-Week
The cram study schedule is for students who need to quickly cram before their exam. The 4 and 10 week schedules are for students who want to spend 4 or 10 weeks studying.
We thought the study schedules were a nice touch, we just wish there was a way you can mark your progress and check things off on the actual study schedule (the course does mark your progress, just not the study schedule).
